Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

As described by the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group knows exactly where to go next after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants revenge.
  • The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as important members in the influential clan could assist the group reach locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character swore a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
